?path=tsarnowski&height=32 Thomas Sarno... 27 posts Say I run sim 3 times and save results after each of the 3 runs.  Are the results saved in unique variables such that I can create a report that displays the results of the 3 runs in one report?

Yes, that's right.  You can compare the final values of those variables using a run table. You can also compare the values for the variable over time with a line graph (check the option Make a Compare Runs Graph).

See this page for a tutorial on how to do both

Say I'm at the point where I've saved 3 runs of 4 periods each.  Instead of displaying 4-periods from initial "View Run", then switching to another "View Run" to see the 2nd 4-period block, then switching to another "View Run" to see 3rd 4-period block, I'd like to have the results sit on top of one another for a full 12-period view on my results page.  I'm guessing, maybe leap of faith here, that say revenue for period 1 in my 1st Saved Run has a unique Forio internal variable name and distinguishes it from my period 1 revenue when I run my 2nd Save Run command.  If so, I can build out a single report using these variables.  Is that feasible?

It is not possible to add one run to a previous run, but it is possible to have runs that end early, or that are different lengths (using Vensim).

If you tell me a bit more about your case I may be able to help a more specific suggestion.

Let me know!

?path=tsarnowski&height=32 Thomas Sarno... 27 posts Billy,

Have a sim where user enters 4 weeks of price data - at which point sim is run and I "Step to End".  So I generate 4 weeks of results and summary of those 4 weeks.  What becomes relevant is one of the decision inputs is static for 4 weeks and then changes the next 4 weeks.  What I'm trying to do is enter prices, run sim, save results three times in a row.  At end of 3rd run I have 3 Saved Runs.  At that point I'd like to put those three runs together and report the total results each week for the 12 weeks.

If I had a User Input screen built with 12 weeks of input, then on Save Run would accomplish it.  However, the input I feared would be too cumbersome right now - so I stuck with 4 week chunks.  I assumed that since each of the three Save Runs work correctly, they must be referencing unique variables saved by the sim (e.g., revenue(SavedResult, Week).  So if I capture revenue(1, 1) I see week one results from the 1st saved run, revenue(1, 2) would be week 1, from saved run 2, and so on.

the sim is Price Sim v1 and User Input is the screen I'm referencing if that makes it easier to visulize, . . ., thanks, Tom

?path=billy&height=32 Billy Schoen... Administrator 255 posts Hi Thomas,

I am sorry there is no way to add results from one run onto the other.

The only thing that I can offer you would be to build a simulation that uses compare runs.  This would allow you to see all three runs at once.

You can follow this tutorial (http://forio.com/simulate/docs/index.php/docs/article/348) to add those features to your simulation.
