Issue with the external links

Hi Forio Team
I noticed a behavior in Link Bar and Link components which I am highly sure should not be like this. For either of them, when I set the link to point to an external link, the generated link is not only the addressed entered in the relevant property but it has forio URL as prefix. For example if I set an external link to www.google.com and I click on the link, it takes me to: http://forio.com/simulate/aziza/wuhm/simulation/www.google.com Is there any way to go directly to the web address? Thanks |

Hi Aziza,
Did you select "External Link" from the drop down when adding the Link Bar item? Then you can use http://www.google.com and get the expected URL. Its the only way to get a non relative URL. For the Link component you must unselect "Use internal link" to get similar behavior. Best, Tod |

That's what I did. I tried a few times and I didn't get to the external URL. I will try again as soon as I can access the interface, and will tell you if turns out I am wrong |

I double checked and as I said, while the proper option was selected, still the behavior I explain happened. |

Looks like you may need to add http:// to the links otherwise the browser will concatenate the link to its current path. |
