Migrating an old Broadcast sim to the new Simulate platform

Is it possible to migrate a simulation created on the old Broadcast platform to the new Simulate platform? I'm happy with the functionality where it's at, but it would be nice to have the visibility of the newer platform. |

Hi Steve,
Yes, you can migrate simulations from Broadcast to Simulate, though some features are supported differently. The modeling language is almost identical between the two - you should be able to migrate your model without difficuty. On the interface however, the free level of service has different features. Specifically, with Forio Simulate Free you build your simulations using a drag-and-drop interface, whereas in Broadcast the interface is built with marked up HTML (Forio Markup Language). You can build HTML simulations in Simulate, but it requires a paid subscription to Forio Simulate Premium and above. Most of the syntax is identical (if you have a simulation with facilitator-specific features there are differences). If your simulation is at the free level, you might move your model over and consider rebuilding your interface with the drag-and-drop tool. Let us know if you've other questions. WILL |
