?path=danej&height=32 Jerome Dane 3 posts It would be very nice to get the following modifications to the current files system for premium accounts:

1 - Ability to move files and folders in file manager

2 - Change "Save Changes" when editing a file to two buttons: "Save Changes" (save and return to editor, or better yet, save via AJAX so we can save without having to reopen the file we were working on) and "Save And Close" (save the file and close it like the current save button does).

3 - Ability to rename files through files interface

4 - When editing a file, implement save via ajax on pressing CTRL+S using keystroke event override.

?path=danej&height=32 Jerome Dane 3 posts Sorry for the double post, but I thought I'd note other thoughts as I had them.

Using $User.name in an HTML file will give me the user's full name (first and last concatenated with a space in between), but it seems like other things should work as well. Dumping the object from an AJAX API request generates a user object with a .thumbnail property representing the src of their avatar. It would be nice if the full user object was available using your $User.property syntax. I tried to do $User.thumbnail, but no joy.

Thanks very much for the feedback.  We are discussing these in our dev team meeting this coming week.  We should be roll them out in one of our next two releases.  (We have a release every 3 weeks).   Note that Simulate Premium/Pro and above users have an option of using SFTP to access the file system (use port 9022 at ftp.forio.com with your Simulate user name and password).  This provides some of the file management features you are looking for.
