How do I change a number format for a specific component?
Changing the number format for a component requires entering a series of symbols in the component's number format text entry box. See the charts below for a description of symbols and examples of how they are used.The following is a list of components and property locations for formatting numbers:
- Line Chart - The number format can be specified in the 'Title and Axes' tab.
- Time Bar - The number format can be specified in the 'Title and Axes' tab.
- Comparison Bar Chart - The number format can be specified in the 'Title and Axes' tab.
- Area Chart - The number format can be specified in the 'Title and Axes' tab.
- Pie Chart - The number format can be specified in the 'Title and Axes' tab.
- Sparkline - The number format can be specified in the 'Title and Axes' tab.
- Data Table - The number format can be specified in the 'Data' tab.
- Financial Row - The number format can be specified in the 'Row Settings' tab
- Value - The number format can be specified in the 'Style' tab.
- Drawable Line Chart - The number format can be specified in the 'Title and Axes' tab.
- Histogram - The number format can be specified in the 'Title and Axes' tab.

This table provides examples of the formatting symbols in use. For descriptions of the format symbols, see the 'Number Format Symbol Description' above.
The table above represents the conversion from 'Number' to 'Result' based on the symbols in the 'Format' column. To use a number format, enter the symbols shown in the 'Format' column into the component's number format text entry box in the component panel. Any number displayed to the sim user will be in the format shown in the 'Result' column.
Also, note that using '.' to separate thousandths or ',' for decimals is not currently supported.
