How do I Add a Series to My Pie Chart?

A series is a variable that is represented as a sector of a pie chart. The variable is chosen in the 'Variable Name' drop-down menu located in the pie chart setting’s ‘Series’ tab. Follow the directions below to add your first series:

  1. Click on the pie chart component placed on the canvas area to display a list of horizontal tabs in the component panel. Select the tab titled ‘Series’ (shown below).

  2. Click on the 'Variable Name' drop-down menu, and then click 'Browse' to choose a variable from the 'Browse' list.

  3. Click in the 'Series Name' text entry box to name the pie chart sector.

  4. Click the 'Color' box to choose a color (optional).
