Starting struggles with the “Smart watch” example

Hello,

I wanted to get started with Forio Epicenter (so far I worked with Simulate) and wanted to take a look at the example “Smart Watches”, because we will be using Vensim simulations in the future. So I created a new project with your example. The problem is now, that, when I open the Interface Builder, there appears nothing, but this:

“This feature is only available in new projects. Create a new project and start using it!”

As this is a vicious circle, I got stuck.

In case, this problem could result out of a problem we had before, I just put here the link of our first problem:

Thanks you and Regards

Hi Andreas,

Thank you for alerting us about the Epicenter Examples Projects issue.
We are aware that the ‘Use this Example’ button will generate a legacy project that is not compatible with the new Interface Builder.

If you would still like to use Vensim file from the Smart Watch example, I have provided steps below on how to retrieve the Smart Watch Vensim file and create a new project using the Interface Builder.

Steps:
1. Locate your Smart Watch project that you created from the Example Projects page
2. Goto the ‘Model’ link (located in the left navigation-menu)
3. Select model.vmf
4. Select ‘View raw’ link to automatically download the model.vmf file to your browser’s designated download folder
5. Select ‘Personal Projects’ link (located at top of the browser page)
6. Select ‘Create a New Project’ link
7. Select ‘Make Your Own Project’ link
8. Enter ‘Project Name’ (Example: Smart Watch Sample)
9. Enter ‘Project ID’ (Example: smart-watch-sample)
10. Select ‘Create Project’ button
11. Select the ‘Model’ link (located in the left navigation-menu)
12. Select ‘Actions’ menu, Then ‘Upload File’ menu item
13. Locate the model.vmf from Step 3
14. Select the ‘Interface Builder’ link (located in the left navigation-menu)

You should be on your way to create a new project with the Interface Builder.

Regards,
Geromel
