Changing a line chart into a bar chart in interface builder

#1

is there a way to change a line chart into a bar chart in interface builder? It allows me to change a component to a different type but it does not have bar chart listed as something that can be changed to. Thanks!

Hi Andrew,

After you select a line chart you can click on “Remove component” on the sidebar, which’ll then give you an option for selecting a different chart type.

Note that your current line-chart configuration will be overwritten if you do that, and you’ll start with an empty bar chart (since the configuration options aren’t directly translatable).

Let us know if you have trouble with this.

Hi Naren,
Thank you for your help. That works! One additional question - when I change it to a bar chart and run it, the color coding of the runs does not correspond to the key . The baseline run is red, but the bar chart uses aqua for its color. Otherwise it seems to be working. Is there a reason for this or a way to fix it? My project is Iterative Acquisition Management Dynamics.

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Naren,
Have you been able to find a fix to this bug in Interface Builder? I’m not seeing any improvement in my application with respect to bar charts using consistent colors for runs compared to behavior over time graphs.

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Andrew,

Our apologies for the delay, we’ve been a bit short-staffed for the holiday week. We’re still planning to deploy early next, probably by eod Tuesday. If you do need access to this earlier, let me know and I’ll deploy a custom fix for your project.

Hi @apm - this is an old question (and sorry we missed your query from a month ago) but just to close the loop, the fix for this went out late november. Let us know if you’re still seeing issues.
