Constants of Vensim model on the line graphs

Hello,

I am using Interface Builder for my Vensim model. In the line graphs on the Dashboard page, constants of my Vensim model do not appear. What should I do?

Hi Busra,

I took a look at your project ‘green generation investments’ and downloaded your 2 models.

Model “forio_green generation.vmf” seems to be okay and I was able to view the list of associated variables.

However, I was not able to completely run the other model, “forio EXP Model V3.vmf”, because my desktop Vensim application reported some Error…
“Model has errors and cannot be simulated. Do you want to correct the errors”

I also uploaded the “forio EXP Model V3.vmf” model by itself onto my test account, and no variables were listed.

The error found in your Vensim model, “forio EXP Model V3.vmf” is the likely cause for the Interface Builder to not list the model variables.

Hi Busra,

Constants in vensim do not grow over time, i.e. they’ll always be a single value, regardless of what time you’re in and hence can’t be plotted in a line chart. If you do want to plot that, you can switch it to a gaming variable, which does grow over time.
