Disabling vs. Deleting a User

What are the differences between disabling a user and deleting a user in our Epicenter admin interface?

  • If we disable a user, are they no longer counted against our allotted number of authenticated end users?
  • If we disable a user and they subsequently attempt to launch a simulation using SSO, will their account be automatically enabled?
  • Related to the above, if we delete a user and they subsequently attempt to launch a simulation using SSO, a brand new user will be created. Correct?
  • Can deleted users be retrieved at all, if needed?

Hi – disabled users may not log into or access the sim, but the data is preserved and they still count against your user limit.

Deleted users are removed from the sim. If they subsequently attempt to connect via SSO, a user account will be created. I don’t think the data will be linked back to that user, but we’d have to check to be sure.

Otherwise, deleted users cannot be retrieved.
