Error in Consensus system

Dear Will,

Good day! I am writing to report an issue with the consensus system. In our multiplayer simulation we face constantly with the following type of error, which to my belief relates to the way consensus works (there are 5 players):

3:03:48 PMNo roles are defined for barrier(worldKey=0000017c3df794719326825a21a5543cdddb, name=default, stage=round-10)

https://forio.com/v2/multiplayer/consensus/0000017c3df794719326825a21a5543cdddb/default
404: Not Found
Type: org.smallmind.persistence.DataIntegrityException

3:24:03 PMNo roles are defined for barrier(worldKey=0000017c3df794719326825a21a5543cdddb, name=default, stage=round-12)

404: Not Found
Type: org.smallmind.persistence.DataIntegrityException

We tested our simulation four times and this error occurs randomly at different steps. Could you please help us in investigating this error?

Because of this error, we are not able to reach consensus. In particular when Biologist submits answer, it removes Historian who already submitted answer and vice versa. It also removes everyone’s answer.

Hi Akbar,

I wanted to follow up here in the forum and note that we’ve worked privately with you to identify and resolve this issue. Specifically, multiplayer sims that go more than 9 rounds were hitting errors in the 10th round. Upgrading the epicenter.js library to 2.13.6 or later will sove this problem.

WILL

Dear Will,

Good evening. Thank you so much for your strong support and help. It is invaluable. As for the required changes - we will do as suggested.

With kind regards,
Akbar
