More than one graph in single run possible ? (interface builder)

Dear Support member,

Is it possible to do one or the following two in Forio?

  1. A page with a run analysis (single run) with more than one graph? My intention is to compare in each graph 2 or more variables (or a single variable with subscripts, for example education[male] and education [female] ; or sales[region1], sales[region2], sales[regon3]
  2. Alternatively, is it possible to include in a page with a run comparison (multi run, which could include several graphs in the same page) the possibility that each graph included more than one variable?. Imagine a graph that currently has VAR1 for two Scenarios: BAU and SCEN1. Currently one can plot VAR1 for BAU only, SCEN1 only or both. Would it be possible to add VAR2 to the graph, so one could plot both VAR1 and VAR2 for BAU, for SCEN1 and both.

I have been looking through the documentation and questions in this site but have not been able to find an answer to this.

Many thanks for your attention

Leonardo

Hi Leonardo,

Regarding your questions…

  1. Currently the ‘Run Analysis (Single Run)’ templates supports only one graph with more than 1 variables.

  2. Currently the ‘Run Comparison (Multi Run)’ templates supports multiple graphs with only 1 variable.

We are reviewing your feature requests as a possibility.

Hi Leonardo,

“1” Sounds like a good idea, we’ll look to add this in roughly the next 2 weeks.

re: 2 - in our experience we’ve found plotting more than 7 lines on a chart (i.e. 7 runs) is generally counter-productive; you’ll end up with a graph with a lot of lines really close together and without enough unique colors to be able to tell the difference. A better way of solving for this is to use “small multiples” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_multiple), i.e. place two charts for VAR1 and VAR2 side-by-side and set the same “max” value for the y-axis so they are comparable.

Thanks a lot for your continued feedback, it’s really valuable to us! Let us know if you have any further questions.
