Powersim with Excel Input

Forio,
We are deciding on a platform for a web-based application for a new project. We are trying to decide
if Powersim Studio with Forio would be the correct path. So I may have several questions but will
start with an easy one.

Quick question. I see that Vensim models can use Excel files for input. Can the same be done with
Powersim Studio? Also, can you update Excel files from Powersim in Forio?

Hi – Unfortunately, Powersim running inside Forio does not load Excel files. This is a limitation of the Powersim Engine. Only the desktop version of Powersim is able to load data from Excel. (it uses libraries from Excel which are not able to run on a server).

Vensim is able to load Excel files (as you note). The Vensim engine is able to read in the Excel file format and directly load the data.
