Uploading a video

Hello,

I want to have a video on my Introduction page but I do not want to upload my video to Youtube.

  1. How can I introduce the link of my video from another website?
  2. Is it possible to upload my video directly to Forio?

This is for my project called “electricitymarkets”.

Thank you.

Hi Busra,

We always recommend to use YouTube to stream private/public video for Epicenter projects.
But you can stream your video from other sites as long as they’re accessible.

We do not support the upload of video files to Forio due to its design.

Hello,

I would like to use a video from https://tube.switch.ch but it doesn’t work. For example, you can try it with this video: https://tube.switch.ch/videos/c2d87cc7

Thank you,
Busra

Hi Busra,

After trying out your direct video URL address on my test account, Epicenter was reporting that the media component is unable to display the video that’s in a Frame…

Refused to display ‘https://tube.switch.ch/videos/c2d87cc7’ in a frame

I noticed the link ‘Show embed code’ (located at the bottom of the video) provided the source video being used within the iframe tag:
https://tube.switch.ch/embed/c2d87cc7

I was able to verify the link by playing it as a stand-alone video on a browser.

When I added https://tube.switch.ch/embed/c2d87cc7 to the media property of my project, Epicenter was able to play the source video.

So, as long as you are able to locate the embed source video and capable of playing as a stand-alone video, then Epicenter is able to play the video as well.

Regards,
Geromel
