Update to Forio Epicenter with Asset API

Hello Everyone,

One of the requests we hear from customers working with teams concerns the creation of user-specific data. For example, sometimes you want end users of your project to store profile pictures that are displayed to their group. A facilitator may want to upload resources that should be accessible to end users in one of their groups but not the other. Or users may upload videos as part of an online exercise for review by the rest of the class.

I’m pleased to note that the new Epicenter Asset API allows you to store assets — resources or files of any kind — used by a project with a scope that is specific to project, group, or end user. You can use the RESTful Asset API or the Epicenter.js Asset API Adapter to create, read, update, and delete resources for your project.

To go along with these updates, we’ve also fixed a couple of minor bugs, improved SimLang performance, and released a new version of Epicenter.js (1.6.1).

As always, Epicenter release notes for this and other releases are available at:
https://forio.com/epicenter/docs/public/releases/

In particular, take a look at the Release Notes for v1.35 and Release Notes for v1.35.1.

Happy modeling!
