Forio @ WinterSim 2015: Workshop and Presentation
Join Forio at the 2015 Winter Simulation Conference, December 6-9 in Huntington Beach, CA. The Winter Simulation Conference (WSC) is the premier international forum for disseminating recent advances in the field of system simulation.
There are several opportunities to meet with Forio and with users of our platform.

Our workshop, DIY Online Simulation Tools for Business Education, is on Sunday December 6 from 10am-noon.
Abstract: During this workshop we will lead you through the techniques Forio has developed to building online simulations for use in the classroom. We will show you how you can leverage Forio Epicenter, a web-based development environment, to create simulations using drag-and-drop design tools. No programming skills are required.

Our presentation, Creating and Publishing Online Simulations, is on Tuesday December 8 from 3:30-5pm.
Abstract: See examples of online predictive analytics simulations and learn how to get your simulation running on the web in a free Forio Epicenter account. If you don’t have a model with you, you can use a sample model to produce an interactive web simulation. Epicenter supports simulations developed in R, Python, Julia, Vensim, Excel, and other languages. We will start with an introduction to the Forio platform. In the first part we will help you get your model on Forio’s servers. We’ll walk through the process of importing your model on the server. In the second half we’ll focus on creating an interactive user interface for your application. After the introduction, you will be able to work on your own. Forio will also provide a debrief on online simulations and suggest possible next steps for enhancing your own online tool.

We’ll also be at the exhibition hall throughout the conference. Stop by and say hello!
