The Story

market share image

In this fast-paced synchronous exercise, participants begin by analyzing a perceptual map of the market to understand consumer preferences. They then introduce new products into the marketplace and, over several timed rounds, adjust their product positions to capture more market share and boost profits. However, each move comes at a cost, requiring teams to anticipate competitors' actions and weigh short-term expenses against long-term gains. Working in groups of two to six, players compete in a single market, racing against the clock to make strategic decisions. The challenge: which strategies will secure and sustain the largest share of the market?
