October 29: Bay Area Julia Users Meetup

Join us for the next Bay Area Julia Users Meetup, Thursday October 29 at 6:30pm at Forio’s offices in San Francisco.

  • John Myles White, one of the creators of Julia, will introduce JuliaStats, then describe what is needed to move JuliaStats forward. JuliaStats is a group of statistics and machine-learning packages that John as worked extensively on.
  • Tony Kelman will describe the new features of Julia 0.4, and also features that are being worked on now and that may make it into the next version of Julia. Tony is a PhD student at UC Berkeley.
  • Andy Hayden will talk about generating documentation for your Julia project, including Docile and documentation in Julia 0.4.
